Dance Obsession has opened a new group within the studio, The Dancesport Division.

We have had requests from dancers wishing to increase their dance ability beyond the social floor, so we have set up a division within the studio to cater for this requirement. The Dance Obsession ~ Dancesport Division is primarily aimed at those students wishing to take the step up to competition level and or medal tests. The accuracy of technique required for medals is of a higher standard than for social dancers. Competitors require a step up again with holds, poise, shape and musicality being just a few of the requirements to take the leap to the next level. The need for more exacting training and tuition to a higher level, necessitating the dancer to have more control over their movement, and a better understanding of where other couples are on the floor.

We are taking bookings for private lessons, although spaces are limited.

Our instructors have been top level Professional competition dancers with a wealth of experience in both teaching and competing, and know what it takes to reach the level of a champion.

Dayle and Keven have National and International experience in competition with many titles between them. Dayle has held an adjudicating qualification to Members level in all 3 styles of competition, and Keven is currently requalifying for all 3 styles as an adjudicator.
